2nd Grade Rocks!
Eldest Son totally digs school this year. Things are going well, still. Yippee!
Volunteered in his classroom yesterday morning -- b/c my boss is so totally cool, she made a point of suggesting multiple times that I use some of my vacation time to help out in my kids' schools -- so I took her up on it -- and was thrilled to observe that E.S. is NOT the most obnoxious kid in his class! Yeah!!!
Okay, confess that's not most noble of feelings (Schadenfreude, I believe, is the term -- or a close relation). But, did have a little pistol of a kid who was sportin' a pretty big 'tude, in one of my little phonics groups I was working with... and found it quite a refreshing change that he wasn't MINE!!
Yeah!
Not that E.S. doesn't still have "issues" (complete with "air quotes") but, it's a vast, vast improvement over last year, and the improvement seems to be sticking, now that we're a month in & it's still going well.
